Australian Independent Dirt Kart Association

What you need to know about Australian Independent Dirt Kart Association (A.I.D.K.A).

“What is AIDKA Racing?”

The Australian Independent Dirt Kart Association (AIDKA) is an organization that oversees dirt kart racing in Australia. Dirt kart racing is similar to the traditional bitumen kart racing but with the obvious difference of the track surface (and setup differences). AIDKA organizes events, sets regulations, and provides support for participants involved in dirt kart racing across Australia.

Whilst many of the tracks that racing occurs on are owned by clubs, AIDKA is the governing authority whom each club reports to.

With speedway karts, their association is referred to as SKAA (Speedway Karting Association of Australia).

“What tracks are around?”

There is almost an AIDKA track in every state of Australia now! But we will list them below with contact details so you can reach out or follow them on their social media platforms.

“What is dirt kart racing like?”

Racing under AIDKA I have best described it as “a cross between speedway and drifting”
This was quoted on Wade Aungers documentary “DirtKart Life” 2023.

“How do I get started?”

“We have something coming soon for those wanting to kick off their racing journey but don’t know where to start ;)

You are best to contact a club located closest to where you live, they will be able to mentor you through the beginnings or provide you with contact details of someone who will.
You can always get in contact with us and we can assist or, provide you in the direction of someone who might be better suited.
